The PCN Library(PCNL) consists of two parts:
1. The UI library - runs on the client for reflections, tweening and more
2. The Server library - for sockets, proxy and more
Currently both are accessble as source code via SVN, download url provided throughLicense and Register.
Access any image/media on any site (media does not need proxy or your bandwidth. Library API can also extract all images/media from an url).
Did we mention we solved the cross domain security issues? It's ALL done on port 80 via JSON, including push, chat, MMO, Image/media access on 3rd party web sites, etc. Both libraries work together and are designed to be easy to deploy/integrate.
Features:
App Store - programers can allow end users to purchase an add on module
Disconnected mode
Payments, a programmer should profit
Uses Amazon SDB for DB for obvious benefits
PCNL UI guides you to develop a modern UI in full screen browser (or screen saver) leveraging tweening, white space, and reflections/shadows.
Features:
No client install for browser, no cross browsers issues, can run as screen saver/desktop
Papervision and/or Awway3D support plus tween lite
Help encapsulate components (vs. the container managing each)
As thin as possible, so you can use all of your other favorite flash/actionscript tools
PCNL Server is designed to provide no security issues for UI library.
Features:
Server on port 80 and clean crossdomain.xml: Similar to light Jabber on JSON for MMO, RPC, chat rooms and more
Stock quote (and simple RSS)
Asset server for apps (reduce size of swf. Entire socket server run in a WAR for any Java server)
Screen scrape to access media on ANY site
Server Push, force data to client (or call a client method)
To download PCNL from the License/Download page, you must agree to the attribution license of $1, payable via PayPal.
Note: PCNL is SVN and in Alpha now. We are looking for early adopters that may want to join this project and help expand the web developer community.
